Kaatru Veliyidai - 5.1

Kaatru Veliyidai - a classical poetic love story. It is not a film to watch but something to experience. An experience that not everyone would accept. Some may blame it for being sluggishly made but some may fall in love with it. There are plenty of silences, classic old school close-ups and slow-motion shots. Some might find it mawkish but some may enjoy that treatment too. Fighter pilot Varun Chakrabani aka VC and doctor Leela Abraham fall in love against the backdrop of the Kargil war in Srinagar. Everything is hunky dory till Leela realizes that it is difficult for her to put up with VC's brash, self-centered nature and the way he disrespects her in public. She is a modern spirited girl who wants equality in a relationship and decides to walk away from his life. Soon VC is taken prisoner by Pakistan army. As for the music, AR Rahman no doubt reserve his most versatile best for Mani Ratnam. Nobody shoots songs the way Mani Ratnam does, and once again he proves it here as all the songs are picture perfect, in film cast Karthi, Aditi Rao Hydari, Directed and produced by Mani Ratnam and released on 07^th April 2017.
